Position: Extension Associate for Farm Management

Duration: This position is supported for a minimum of 12 months with funds from an income generating account and competitive grants. Continued employment is contingent upon the availability of funds.

Responsibility : This position is to assist with development and delivery of farm management Extension programs. The Extension Associate will assist faculty with development of computerized decision aids and printed Extension educational material.  The position also involves assisting with the logistical arrangements and delivery of farm management workshops, computerized record keeping workshops and agent in-service training.  The successful candidate is expected to have a good working knowledge of diversified agriculture including livestock, field crops, and horticultural crops.  Experience in developing software decision aids and budgeting tools would be preferred.  Evidence of good communication and logical thinking skills are required.

Requirements: M.S. in Agricultural Economics or closely related field preferred. B.S. in Agriculture will be considered.
